What can I expect when I visit?

Our Sunday services at 8:00 a.m., 9:45 a.m, and 11:30 a.m.. are more traditional in nature but are both contemporary and charismatic.  Our Sunday services meet in our main sanctuary where we sing songs of praise, pray corporately, spend time greeting one another, and receiving the word of God from the Holy Bible.
When you visit us on the first Sunday of the month, you can expect Holy Communion to be served at each service with a additional service at 6:00 p.m. All who are believers  are invited to participate in this Holy sacrament.  When you visit us on a third Sunday of the month, you can celebrate with us as we welcome believers or reaffirm service to God through baptism.

What about my children?

Children are welcomed and encouraged to stay with you during service.  We also have a quiet room available where service can be seen and heard for your convenience.
On the second and fourth Sundays of the month children ages 5 through 17 are invited to participate in our Children’s Church during our 11:30 a.m. service.  Also, every Sunday during our 11:30 a.m worship services we have nursery care available for children o - 4yrs old.”

If I need prayer, will First Baptist Church pray for me?

First Baptist is a praying church.  We have intercessory prayer before each service.  We pray corporately on the 1st Wednesday of every quarter .  If you are in need of prayer, please feel free to come forward during the invitation at the conclusion of service as well.  We would love to pray for you.  If you wish, you may send prayer requests to [email protected]  Your request will be forwarded to one of our ministry leaders.

As a visitor, will I have to say anything or be singled out?

You will not be asked to say anything or introduce yourself as a visitor.  As our way of welcoming you, we do ask all of our First Time Visitors to stand so that we may greet you.  You will be given a  first time visitors gift along with a guest information card to fill out if you would like more information about our church. We do not want you to do anything that would make you feel uncomfortable.

Will I have a chance to meet the Pastor?

Pastor McCarroll looks forward to meeting visitors and spending time with members after each service. He is usually available at the front of the church immediately following service to receive guests and members, as well as speak with those who have questions about the church or the message of the morning.

Will I be asked to give an offering?

As a guest you are welcomed ,but not expected, to make an offering.   the Worship through Giving portion of our service is a time of celebration at First Baptist.  Our members are excited to give as part of their commitment to God and the church.
