James Milton McCarroll, Jr. serves as pastor of First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, TN. He is a Nashville, TN native and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting from Tennessee State University in 1999. Continuing his studies, he received a Master of Divinity degree from the Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School in 2003.
He was licensed to preach and ordained to the Christian ministry at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. James C. Turner, Sr. He has since dedicated his life to bringing the message of faith, hope, and love in God through Jesus Christ.
Pastor McCarroll has been blessed to teach and preach at numerous venues across the country, as well as internationally, in Italy, India, Jamaica, Guyana, St. Thomas U. S. Virgin Islands, and Barbados.
His desire for people to experience the fullness of their Christian possibility has caused him to approach ministry with sensitivity toward the holistic need for the faith, hope, and love required to inherit the power and promises of God. To this end, Pastor McCarroll endeavors to impact the world for Jesus Christ through the communication and application of the Word of God.
